We have created a video that shows how to use the AdSpeek SDK for tracking page views and/or ad views. Sometimes app publishers have their own ads or content they want to track. Using the AdSpeek SDK for tracking allows you to track that information along with location of where that information was displayed.
AdSpeek SDK and Interface Builder How-To Video
Last night I created a YouTube showing how to use the AdSpeek SDK within an iPhone project with Interface Builder. The are several ways to create views for the iPhone. One of them is by creating the view in Interface Builder, hooking it up to a UIViewController and then populating the contents from code. This demo creates a simple iPhone project that does just that and shows how easy it is to integrate the AdSpeek SDK when defining the view through Interface Builder.
You can find more info at: http://developers.adspeek.com as well as in the README.txt that ships with the SDK, but there is nothing like a good ‘ole video to help out.
Smartphone owners looking for mobile ads
According to a recent Compete study, 74% of smartphone owners use their phone for personal uses. And it seems a large number of people use their phone while shopping or to help them save money and find reviews on products. Based on this study it seems that 36% want to use their phone with grocery coupons, 29% want to be able scan barcodes and 26% want to save offers to review later.

If you have not yet heard about Anthony Johnson from the Montana Grizzlies basketball team I am sure you will in the upcoming NCAA basketball tourney. To sum it up, Montana was down by 20 at the half in last night’s Big Sky tournament final to Weber State. The game seemed over. But the second half spelled a different story. Anthony Johnson who 4 years ago was washing dishes having given up on his basketball career after high school. He met a girl who also played basketball and watched him play pickup at the YMCA.
The value of data
I was reading a special report in last week’s Economist called Data Data Everywhere and I am sure by the title you can gather it’s about data. More specifically it is about the abundance of data in our world and how since we now have all of this data we will need to start spending time making sense of it. Having a degree in Machine Learning this piqued my interest especially because Machine Learning techniques will be at the core of learning patterns and making sense of it all.
